Children's Christmas Eve Pageant & Mass

"She wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger,
because there was no room for them in the inn."  Luke 2:7

When: Monday, December 24 at 3:00 p.m.
Where: School gymnasium
Info Session: Sunday, December 16 at 11:35 a.m. in the gym

Children ages 3 and above are invited to participate in the Christmas Eve Pageant and Mass! As we prepare to celebrate the birth of Jesus, the children will dress up like the people and animals from the very first Christmas. They will help us remember the events of that miraculous night as we tell the story of our Savior's birth and celebrate the Christmas Eve Mass, with children also participating as readers, altar servers, and singers.

Info Session for a Brief Preview

The pageant is very simple, with only one brief "rehearsal". Each child who will be participating, along with a parent, should come for this short walk-through for the pageant on Sunday, December 16 at 11:35 a.m. in the gym.

If your child would like to participate in the pageant and Mass, please contact Sister Cecilia ( or Mr. Jeff ( by email or phone (410-833-8515) and give us your child's name, age, and the character or role he/she wants to be.

Here are the character choices for this year's pageant:

Angel   •   Shepherd   •   Sheep   •   King   •   Camel   •   Cow   •   Donkey   •   Star

For older children (7th grade and up), we also need:

Angel Gabriel *   •   Readers **

* If more than one child wants to be this character, we will choose names in a drawing.

** Readers can be any age but must have strong, clear voices for the pageant narration and Mass readings and intercessions.
