St. Vincent dePaul Society - is an international organization of lay persons founded by Frederic Ozanam. The Society derives its inspiration from his thinking and work. It seeks, in a spirit of justice and charity, to help those who are suffering.
At Sacred Heart we coordinate two collections per year of personal and health items for our sister parish, St. Therese. Food collected each month on "Hunger Sunday" is distributed to those in need. Our "Good Neighbor" program helps coordinate rides to doctor and hospital appointments. We also coordinate and distribute baskets for needy families at Christmas.
The Society is structured to be a helping hand to those within our parish and our community. Volunteers are always needed. For more information about any of Sacred Heart's outreach ministries, please call the Parish Center at 410-833-1696 or e-mail parish@shgparish.org
