Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement that unleashes the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and their world. It was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good.
When Is Giving Tuesday?
Giving Tuesday is held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. This year, Giving Tuesday takes place on December 1, 2020.
How Can I Participate in Giving Tuesday?
Whether you give your voice, goods, your time, or your money, being generous is a way to fight for the causes you care about and help people in need. Here are a few ideas that you might consider:
Help the parish’s handicap accessibility project!
The Knott Foundation recently approved our request for a grant to assist in handicap accessibility for the church and school. The grant will only cover a portion of the cost; Sacred Heart Parish still has to cover the remaining balance. This project includes creating a smooth walking area to the churches, upgrading the walkway from the school-side parking lot, and installing door assisted openers.
On Giving Tuesday (December 1), you can help us with this important project! All donations received by Sacred Heart on Giving Tuesday will be used for handicap accessibility.
